Today I sold my second arrangement of handmade paper flowers. This arrangement was a custom order from a friend of mine seeking a Valentine’s Day gift for his wife. It’s still odd calling her his wife even though they’ve been married for a few years, because she was his girlfriend for alot longer.
Custom Order
This arrangement was easier to make because I already had half of the roses already made. I had prepared for an arrangement of mostly white roses with some smaller red roses but had changed my mind. It was also the fifth such arrangements so I already new what exactly I needed and how it needed to be put together.
When my friend saw the other pieces I had made at my etsy store: etsy.com/shop/AmmarPaperFlowers, he decided he wanted a mix that balanced the reds and whites more evenly. This (above) is what I came up with.
He just picked it up a few hours ago and was very happy with the end product. He told me he selected my centerpiece because it was handmade, one of a kind, and that it was made by me. Hopefully his wife likes it as well.

This was my first sale!
This one I sold via my store. I didn’t know at the time when I first got the email that and order had come through, that this also was a friend of mine. Another male friend was buying this for his wife for Valentine’s.
As an artist I think that he liked the fact that it was handmade and an art piece. But I also think he like the fact that these flowers didn’t have to be watered or maintained.
This piece was the second arrangement I had made. It received a bit of a spruce up before I delivered it this earlier this week.
Success!
Overall my venture into this project has been a success on several fronts. But I’ll explain that another time.
