The winter holidays are the traditional season for hanging wreaths on your door. In honor of the Yule season, this wreath features holy shaped leaves in a metallic green paper that are reminiscent of the glossiness of the natural leaves.
Greening the Wreath
I decided to stay with traditional holiday colors of red, green and white. I chose a red back base to go with the red ribbons. White ribbon was used as a border for the inner and outer bases.
Preparing the Florals
I wasn’t initially sure what I wanted the wreath to look like. I reviewed alot of Pinterest ideas and really liked the leaf-based wreaths. I didn’t really have a way to mimic red berries, which were in alot of wreaths, so I opted for a small red rose instead. The green paper I chose were mostly true greens only slightly deeper. I found a wonderful metalic green for the holly that could resemble the shininess of holly.

Putting it all Together
I have to say that I really love my paper punches for the leaves. They add a crispness that looks divine.
