The first thing to know about me is that I’m extremely crafty. (actually in both senses of the term – though the other tends more towards outright wickedness towards the husband.)

I love making stuff!!

I have taken classes on everything from book binding, to traditional floral arrangements, to landscape construction, solar panel installation, plant identification, golf, tennis, soccer, gemstone faceting, jewelry making, metal casting, and on. My latest passion is making paper flowers, which is a bit of a cross between my materials from my book binding classes and my knowledge gained from both the floral arrangement classes and plant identification.

 

I love my music!!!

I am NEVER without my headsets! I’m rocking lovely Radio Shack Auvio headsets in red.  🙂 The higher end brands are wasted on me because I’ll just break them. Radio Shack has an awesome warranty programs which is great because I go through a pair every 3 months or so.

I listen mostly to Electro House.  It was a natural evolution from Chicago House that I was introduced to back in Chi-Town during college, back back a few decades ago.  It’s a bit unique in that now the DJs  get the higher ranking over the artists (ie  David Guetta featuring Rhianna).  I’m listening non-stop to David Guetta, Avicii, & Afrojack on most days. I’m somewhat active??

I’m usually pretty active in my everyday life. Although recently I’ve gone through 2  years of surgery & miscellaneous injuries that have had me out of the gym for longer than I expected.  But I enjoy camping, hiking, gym biking, zumba and more.  It’s been 2 years since my shoulder surgery and I haven’t been back on the golf greens or tennis courts, so hopefully that will change this summer.

Oh and I live in San Francisco. Our summers are hit or miss when it comes to the warmth/fog ratio that is my daily life.

 

I’m a corporate gal!!

When I’m not unemployed and between contracts, I working in the digital world of eCommerce. Mostly for big big companies. I’m a bit of an SEO expert with other strengths in Analytics & Digital Tag Management, as well as general Product Management concepts & strategies. I have never been particularly interested in Digital Marketing until the rise of Social Media, and the advent of Social Media Marketing.

Wanting to learn Social Media Marketing is really what prompted me to create this business, vs just making gifts for friends & family. The migration of this hobby into a small business has given me amazing opportunities to learn these new channels from a small business perspective.  I expect the journey to continue to be rewarding.

 

I’m holiday crazy!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the holidays! You will see this reflected in the themes of my centerpieces & creations. Most of my pieces are holiday inspired. At the time of writing this –  Valentine’s has passed and yesterday was St Patrick’s Day.  Next up is the Cherry Blossom Festival (very big in SF) and then onto Easter! Fun Fun Fun!
